Desert
Visiting / Walking Tours
The two
deserts of Iran, the central salt desert (Kavir-e Namak
) and Lout desert are among the most interesting parts
and at the same time one of the least explored parts of
the country.
The
Kavirs hold many hidden treasures, such as ancient
oases,
salt
polygons,
underground aqua–ducts and most magnificent of them all,
the Kalouts.
Lout, Messre and Maranjab are the names of some of our Desert
tours.

Forest and green pasture Trekking / Biking Tours
Iran
forests are
mainly on the northern slopes of the Alborz mountains.
The high Alborz chain seals-off the narrow Caspian
coastal strip from the rest of the country and as a
result itself is covered with luxuriant forests and lush
vegetation. On the slopes of Zagros Ranges there are
also Oak forests. Abre (cloud) and Arasbaran are two of
our tours in which we trek through these forests. |

Mountain Climbing / Biking Tours
Asia
has the highest mountains in the word and of these Iran
has some of the largest ranges, the beautiful Alborz
range in the north, the magnificent Zagros range in the
west and other lesser known ranges in the east,
extending from north to the south. Mountains cover
almost ¾ of the country. Among the most important
summits, some of them of volcanic origin are:
Damavand(5,671m) in the north-east of the country,
Sabalan (4,880m)in the north-west, Takht-e Solayman
(4,820m) in the north and Zardkooh (4,550m) in the
center, just to mention a few of the best known. All in
all Iran has more than 90 peaks above 4,000m (14,000ft)
altitude. |

Nomadic Tribes Visits
There
are several nomadic tribes living in Iran. Their economy
is based on animal husbandry and therefore their life
style is dominated by their seasonal kootch (migration).
Among the main tribes are the Qashghais in the Fars
province, the Bakhtiaris in the slopes of Zard Kouh and
the Eilsovans in the Azarbayjan province. Some of the
tribes are still keeping their old life style of
migrating and living in tents. The diversity of their
languages, music, dances, cloths, traditions and other
cultural features is very interesting for the modern man
who lives in the tumultuous machine age.

Historical and cultural tours
The
Iranian plateau is one of the oldest homelands in the
world of ancient human civilizations. Throughout the
country there exist numerous historical sites and
monuments, some of them dating back to 6th
millennium BC, attesting to the existence of these
ancient civilizations. Some of our historical and
cultural site-visit tours include the Choghazanbil,
belonging to Elamite Era, the Persepolis of the
Achaemenid Era, the historical city of Bishapur dating
to the Sasanians Era. |
